Best for

The Trade and Industry Department states that the SME Export Marketing Fund (EMF) has already been consolidated into the BUD Fund with effect from 1 July 2026. Enterprises with historical EMF matters may still need organized financial evidence for follow-up, reimbursement, final payment, or supplementary document requests. Aries CPA & Co. helps Hong Kong enterprises review audited accounts, financial reports, tax records, bank records, receipts, invoices, contracts, quotations, payment evidence, and schedules so the document package is clear before professional review or submission.

Current EMF Position
We help clients understand whether a matter belongs to legacy EMF follow-up or should now be considered under BUD Fund channels.

Our EMF CPA and Documentation Services

EMF CPA and Financial Evidence Review

TID may request financial and business-operation evidence when assessing EMF matters. We help organize the records before submission or response.

  • Substantive business operations evidence review
  • Audited accounts and financial report support
  • Profits Tax Return and tax assessment record review
  • Monthly bank statement and payment trail checking
  • Business Registration and Annual Return consistency checks
  • Document gap list before replying to TID or advisers

Reimbursement and Final Payment Document Pack

EMF claims depend heavily on clean supporting documents. We help match the declared expenditure to the underlying records.

  • Receipt, invoice, quotation, and contract matching
  • Payer and applicant company name checks
  • Eligible expenditure schedule preparation
  • Initial payment and final payment record support
  • Corporate website or mobile app evidence review
  • Supplementary document response support

BUD Fund Transition Readiness

Since EMF has moved into BUD, new funding planning should be checked against the current BUD route. We help keep the accounting records ready for that transition.

  • Review whether the matter is EMF follow-up or BUD planning
  • Organize EMF history and funding balance records
  • Prepare accounting schedules for BUD project setup
  • Coordinate audit, accounting, and tax records
  • Build practical evidence and deadline checklists
  • Liaise with business owners, finance teams, and advisers

Our Process

We keep the process direct: confirm the funding route, review the records, then prepare the smallest complete document package required for the case.

  1. Case Check

We confirm whether the issue is EMF follow-up, final payment, reimbursement, or BUD transition planning.

  2. Checklist

We prepare a document checklist based on the activity type, expenditure type, and available records.

  3. Record Review

We review financial statements, tax records, bank records, invoices, receipts, contracts, and payment evidence.

  4. CPA Preparation

We prepare supporting schedules and help organize the records for CPA, audit, or adviser review.

  5. Follow-up Support

We help respond to missing-document requests and keep the evidence package consistent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is EMF still open after 1 July 2026?

As checked on 20 August 2026, eligible EMF promotion activities had to be completed by 30 June 2026. Although the 60-day application period nominally ends on 29 August 2026, that date is a Saturday, and TID requires applications whose deadline falls on a non-working day to be received by the nearest preceding working day. Applicants should therefore ensure receipt by Friday, 28 August 2026. Acceptance and processing remain subject to Trade and Industry Department requirements. New funding enquiries should be checked against the current BUD Fund route.

Does EMF require a CPA report?

Not every EMF application requires a separate CPA report. The official guide says TID may request supporting documents such as audited accounts, financial reports, monthly bank statements, Profits Tax Returns, tax assessments, and other records to confirm substantive business operations or assess a claim. We help prepare and review those CPA and financial evidence records.

What documents are usually needed for EMF follow-up?

Common records include Business Registration documents, Annual Return or incorporation documents, invoices, receipts, contracts, quotations, payment proof, bank statements, activity evidence, screenshots, UAT reports for website or app projects, tax filings, and audited accounts where applicable.

Can you help with EMF website or mobile app claims?

Yes. We can review quotations, contracts, service breakdowns, screenshots, domain or app publisher records, UAT reports, payment records, and the applicant company information shown on the website or app.

Can Aries CPA & Co. guarantee EMF or BUD approval?

No. Approval, reimbursement, final payment, and document acceptance are determined by the relevant government or scheme administrator. Our role is to provide CPA, accounting, audit, and documentation support.

Can you work with our funding consultant or internal team?

Yes. We can coordinate with business owners, finance staff, funding consultants, website vendors, and other advisers to prepare a consistent financial evidence package.
